Privacy & data

Where your projects are stored

Chatimator has no accounts and no cloud storage. Your projects save automatically to your browser's local storage on the device you're using.

What this means in practice

  • Projects persist between visits on the same browser, same device
  • They do not sync between devices or browsers — Chrome on your laptop and Safari on your phone each have their own storage
  • Clearing your browser's site data deletes your projects
  • Private/incognito windows discard projects when the window closes

Backing up work you care about

Export the video (or a PNG) when you finish a project — the output file is the durable artifact. Treat local-storage projects as working drafts, not an archive.

Why no cloud?

It's the flip side of Chatimator's privacy design: conversations are never uploaded, so there's nothing on a server to sync. See what leaves your device for the full picture. Cloud project sync may come later as part of a Pro tier with accounts — locally-stored projects will keep working regardless.
