Keyboard mode
Keyboard mode renders a phone keyboard at the bottom of the video and types your outgoing messages before sending them — the most watched-through variant of the text-story format.
What it does
- Renders the iOS or Android keyboard, matching your chosen platform chrome
- Types each outgoing message with human rhythm — variable key timing, not a metronome
- Makes realistic typos and corrects them with backspace, tuned to look accidental
- Plays per-keystroke click sounds, mixed into the export's audio track
A real export — unmute to hear the keystroke clicks and message tones.
Turning it on
Enable keyboard mode in the editor's playback settings. The preview immediately shows the keyboard and typing; the export matches the preview frame for frame.
Pacing tip
Typing takes screen time — a long message can take several seconds to type out. That's tension when the message matters ("i'm outside your door") and dead air when it doesn't ("ok"). Keep typed messages short, or reserve keyboard mode for the beats where watching the words appear is the point.
