Privacy: what leaves your device

What never leaves your device

  • Your conversations. Scripts are written, previewed and rendered entirely in your browser.
  • Your media. Photos, video clips and contact avatars you add are read locally and drawn to the canvas — never uploaded.
  • Your exports. The MP4 is encoded on your machine with WebCodecs and downloads straight from the browser. There is no render server and no queue.
  • Your projects. Saved to your browser's local storage, not to our servers. See where projects are stored.

The one exception: AI script topics

If you use the AI script generator, the topic sentence you type is sent off your device to write the script — that's how generation works. Nothing else goes with it: not your existing messages, media, contact details or style. If you never use the generator, nothing you make ever leaves the browser.

What we can see

Standard, anonymous website analytics — page views and feature usage counts — so we know what to improve, plus AI topics as described above. We cannot see the content of the conversations you build: they never reach us, by architecture rather than by policy.

A note on using it responsibly

Chatimator is for fiction, skits, ads and mockups. Label generated conversations clearly, and don't use them to deceive or harm real people. The privacy design protects your creative work — it isn't cover for impersonation.
